Who provides Screen Reader Guide

Screen Reader Guide is an independent educational resource operated by Amin Amini in Stockholm, Sweden. Questions about the guide, certificate, or these terms can be sent to [email protected].

The free guide

The course, screen reader references, and practice exercises are provided for educational purposes. You may use them for personal learning and internal team learning. You may link to the guide, but you may not reproduce, resell, or present substantial parts of it as your own work without permission.

Screen readers, browsers, operating systems, and accessibility guidance change. Reasonable care is taken to keep the material useful and accurate, but the guide does not guarantee that every page is complete or current.

The optional certificate

The certificate is a one-time digital product priced at $39 USD, with applicable taxes calculated during checkout. It includes:

  • a personalized digital certificate and downloadable PDF;
  • a public page where the credential can be verified; and
  • a shareable record for a CV, portfolio, or professional profile.

You may purchase a certificate only after completing the Screen Reader Foundations course and passing the final exam with at least 12 correct answers out of 15. The certificate confirms course completion and a passing exam result. It is not professional accreditation, a licence to practise, or proof of advanced WCAG expertise.

You must provide an accurate name and email address. The name supplied for the certificate, issue date, credential identifier, and certificate details will appear on a public verification page. You are responsible for checking how your name is entered before payment.

Payment and delivery

Paddle is the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for certificate purchases. Your payment transaction is with Paddle and is also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms. Paddle calculates and collects applicable taxes and sends the receipt.

After Paddle confirms payment, Screen Reader Guide sends the recipient details to Certifier to issue the credential and deliver it by email. Delivery is normally automated but may be delayed by payment review, email filtering, or a service outage. Contact [email protected] if the credential does not arrive.

Credential integrity

A credential may be corrected, revoked, or replaced if it contains an error, was obtained using false information, was issued because of a technical error, or the exam or payment requirements were not met. You may not alter a certificate or represent it as a different qualification.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Paddle under the Screen Reader Guide refund policy and Paddle's Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited by these terms.

Availability and responsibility

The guide and certificate services may occasionally be unavailable or changed. If a technical problem prevents or unreasonably delays delivery of a purchased certificate, the remedy will be a replacement or refund as required by applicable law and Paddle's terms.

To the extent permitted by law, Screen Reader Guide is not responsible for indirect loss, loss of opportunity, or decisions made solely from the educational material or certificate. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer, you also retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence. Paddle's terms govern the payment transaction with Paddle.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the guide, certificate service, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. The version in effect when you purchase a certificate applies to that purchase.
